What Is Waiting For You?

Beyond this shell that houses you,
Beyond this guitar, your patient witness,
Beyond the prettiness you gather
All around to please and soothe your frail
And frayed-out senses,
Beyond the meaning that you seek
In busy work and interactions,
Beyond all that - what
Is waiting for you?
What, beyond this mould you call your life,
What
is calling Your Name -
Your True Name,
The Wild Name
that will never be forgotten,
The Name that holds
The still-point of your Being and Becoming?
What,
Beyond this insistent pull
Of familiarity - what
Is calling your Name?
Beyond the promises you make
And break each morning,
Beyond all that you named
And think you know,
Beyond all those ideas that float
And roam
But never seem to gather quite enough
Weight
To lead you out and onward -
Beyond all that,
What
Is waiting for you?
It takes a very quiet kind of ear, a very open kind of eye and the lightest touch to hear and see and sense beyond what we think we know and identify with.
The potential for different versions of our self and our life is infinite and does not end where the power of our imagination does. Beyond that, there is so much more!
Can we truly get a sense of the most unchanged and unchanging core of our being?
Who are we truly, when we leave behind the need to know and recognize and identify?
Can we hear That One calling to us?
What is it saying, and is it even translatable to the one who lives and breathes our current lives?
What is the language that it speaks?
The language of the Heart and Soul has many pathways. One of my personal favorites is the language of Passion and of Dreams.
When Passion rises and speaks to me, I listen.
When Dreams come and find me, I pay very close attention.
There is a whole other realm out there where Passion lives and Dreams may lead.
I want to live there!
It is waiting for me, and you…
